Scholarship Information
With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living
and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to
learn, grow and thrive. The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied access to
the Y based on their ability to pay. Through our Scholarship Program, the Switzerland County YMCA provides assistance to youth,
adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances. Every YMCA member receives the same membership benefits,
regardless of whether or not they receive a scholarship. The Y offers scholarships on memberships and programs. A scholarship
reduces the fees, but it does not eliminate them.

CANCELLATION POLICY
To cancel an automatic debit for your membership dues, it is necessary to present written
notification of your desire to cancel your membership. Your cancellation form or written letter must be submitted to the front
desk staff. You are responsible for checking any and all bank documents to ensure all membership related automatic
debits/bank drafts have been stopped. The YMCA is NOT responsible for automatic debits or bank drafts that occur
after the cancellation is processed. A cancellation can take up to 30 days to complete.
For memberships paid annually, pro-rated refunds will be granted for medical conditions,
which will require a medical doctor's note, and in the event of death of any member in that membership unit.

The AWAY
benefit with your YMCA membership can be used at more than 2,400 participating YMCA's across the country. Because
each YMCA is a separate non-profit organization, policies vary on the use of facilities, equipment, services, and programs
by out-of-town YMCA members. Depending on the participating Y's AWAY policy, you may use the facility either for free or for
a small charge.
The policy at the Switzerland County YMCA is that AWAY members may use the facility up to 4 times per
month free of charge.
For a list of YMCA's, please visit www.switzymca.org or call 1-888-333-9622. If you plan on visiting another YMCA, we advise you to call that
YMCA about their policies on visiting members.
